About Sunscreen

Sunscreen is the daily protection step for UV exposure, pigmentation prevention support and active skincare routines. In South Africa, a comfortable SPF is one of the most important products in the routine. Choose a texture you will use every morning, whether that is oil-control, hydrating, tinted, compact or body-friendly.

Key Technology

This range includes SPF50 and SPF50+ filters, high UVA protection, ceramide moisturising SPF, Fernblock antioxidant technology, tinted mineral pigments and water-gel formats. Some formulas target shine, others dryness, pigmentation, redness or outdoor exposure. The technology only works when applied generously and reapplied when needed.

How to Choose

Choose oil-control fluid for shine, hydrating cream for dry skin, tinted SPF for tone, compact or stick formats for touch-ups, and body or family formats for larger areas. If sunscreen stings or pills, change texture rather than skipping it. Use it every morning.

Sunscreen FAQs

Common questions about Sunscreen products and routines.

How much sunscreen should I use on my face?
Use enough to form an even layer over the face, ears, neck and any exposed skin. A tiny amount will not give the labelled protection. The American Academy of Dermatology advises applying sunscreen before going outdoors and reapplying about every two hours when outside, or after swimming or sweating.
Should I choose chemical, mineral or tinted sunscreen?
Choose the formula you will wear correctly. Mineral sunscreens may suit sensitive or reactive skin. Chemical or hybrid sunscreens can feel lighter for some shoppers. Tinted sunscreens are useful for pigmentation, redness or makeup-style coverage. The best sunscreen is broad-spectrum, comfortable and used generously every morning.
Do I need sunscreen indoors?
If you sit near windows, drive during the day, use brightening products, treat pigmentation or use retinol/acids, daily sunscreen is still a sensible habit. Indoor exposure is usually less intense than direct outdoor sun, but UVA and visible light can still matter for pigmentation-prone skin. Reapply when you spend time outdoors.
